It started innocently enough. I wanted a pair of earrings that I hadn’t seen anywhere else and as a result, my jewelry collection came out of a desire to wear something that was unique. When I was growing up, my parents took me to museums, sculpture parks and the Milk Factory, where I learned how products we used at home were packaged. This imprinted on me the importance of art and the value of exploring both the typical and unusual places for inspiration. Experimentation is the basis of my practice. In the studio, I create my jewelry using hand held tools. Though there is always a slight variation in the jewelry, I have found that muscle memory over the years helps me to create pieces that have the same form, such as the links in a necklace or a pair of matching earrings.  The balance of the work are one-of-a-kind creations.   My favorite moment in the process is when someone puts on a piece of my jewelry and that smile appears. The same expression that’s usually reserved for the appearance of a decadent dessert. After so many years designing and selling jewelry, it’s still always a pleasure.
