It all began in 1844 when Johann Stöhr Sr. laid the foundation for beekeeping in Mährisch Altstadt, at the foot of the Altvater Mountains in the then Kingdom of Bohemia & Moravia... However, the focus of Schloßwald-Bienengut® has shifted from the former honey manufactory to a focus on health products and exclusive bee cosmetics. For example, the now Europe-wide renowned bee venom ointment API-REGENT® is a popular top product of the house and at the same time the only true bee venom ointment that combines the knowledge and expertise of a family beekeeping tradition spanning five generations.
