My Shop Story: I'm Brenda Lewis; an Ottawa-based macrame and felt fibre art maker specializing in creating forever plants. I spent 17 years as an elementary and music teacher before life took an unexpected turn—my husband was transferred to a new city and soon after deployed for nine months. I decided to take some time off. Ten months later, I stepped away from teaching and took my first retail job at Homesense. I loved every moment of it, learning (and buying) so much along the way! Then came the pandemic. I had started macrame a few months prior, so when the world paused, I leaned into my hobby. When it was time to return to retail, I made a bold choice—I dove headfirst into my macrame business. No plan, just passion. Thank you for being part of this journey and supporting what I love!
