Obumi comes from the Allgäu and stands for what slow fashion should really mean: less, but truly good. Founded in 2016 by Natalie Stocklauser, our accessories are made from natural materials such as certified organic cotton, linen, Tencel, recycled cashmere. Produced in small batches and with a clear stance on origin. 90% of our production takes place in Germany, in cooperation with people with support needs. The remaining 10% is made in a family-run knitting manufactory in Italy. Both are united by the same principle: regional, personal, with respect for the work that goes into each piece. Each piece is meant for eternity, not for a season. Not more-and-more, but quality that lasts. Personal contact instead of anonymous mass goods. The name "bumi" comes from Indonesian and means earth. That's exactly what it's about for us: consuming more consciously, living more slowly, keeping the earth in mind.
