About Sarah Millin

I strive to produce artwork and merchandise to high ecological standards. Vibrant colours, patterns and textures as well as hand drawn are key themes running through my artwork. Inspiration for colour comes from my time as a textile designer in Kenya, working with women’s groups and street children under the fierce hot sun, where vibrant colour was liberally applied and patterns placed arbitrarily across fabrics and NOTHING was wasted! Back in the UK, as artist in residence for an environmental charity/ scrapstore I used a variety of waste materials to inspire an arts education programme and a national conference on creativity and re-use. I continue to recycle waste materials for printing collages. My current designs are inspired by food packaging, nature and heritage. You’ll find some of my artwork in the Museum of Brands in London, independent and gallery shops. Read their story
