Hi! I’m Brandy Jefferys, a fine artist that makes colorful, textural oil paintings of food still lifes and their surroundings that evoke warm memories of home and one's favorite haunts in order to help myself connect with my Appalachian kinfolk and to help my Appalachian kinfolk connect to each other. My influences are roadside food stands, the tactile sensation of working with oil paint, and the beauty found in the mundane. When I’m not working on artwork, I’m probably on the couch watching too much professional wrestling.
