Acid & Honey is built on the oldest medical truth we have: “Let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food.” — Hippocrates. Founder Kristin Forrer learned that not from textbooks, but from gardens, woods, waterways, and a life spent understanding how real ingredients support real bodies. A former private chef to professional athletes and a single mom, Kristin believed in the power of clean food and herbs long before it was a trend. But everything sharpened after losing her closest friend to cancer — grief that she turned into action. She didn’t want modern wellness. She wanted the medicine Hippocrates practiced: plants, vinegar, roots, tonics, tallow, mushrooms, and no nonsense. Drawing from her Scandinavian roots (and a healthy dose of Scandinavian stubbornness), Kristin returned to slow methods, clean fats, wild plants, and simple whole ingredients. What she can grow, she grows. What she can forage, she forages. What she can’t source fresh and honest, she doesn’t use. Today, Acid & Honey creates clean, functional products that actually do something — tallow skincare, herbal vinegar shrubs, adaptogen blends, mushroom coffees, and botanical pantry staples. When Kristin realized she had the formulas but not the spreadsheets, she brought in her longtime friend Carly, the operational mind who keeps everything running.
