About ARGANARGAN

The fair, social and sustainable ArganArgan project: ARGANARGAN was founded in Germany in 2011 in order to preserve the original argan oil, which has also been UNESCO protected since 2015, of one of the most precious foods in its originality. With our work, we support the women's cooperatives (producers) in the arganeraie (UNESCO biosphere reserve in southwest Morocco) in their efforts to preserve the traditional production of argan oil and the unique cultural landscape of argan trees, The purchase of ARGANARGAN secures the income of Berber families and supports the maintenance of social structures in the region. The special quality of ARGANARGAN is tested annually by the DLG — German Food Society and awarded the highest DLG-GOLD award.
