In 2019, I painted Christmas tags as a personal touch for my family. I showed them to a friend and she asked if I could create a snowman tag. She said if I did she would buy a set. But I didn't stop there - I ended up selling 250 sets of Christmas tags that year! Jradartdesign was born, and has evolved from Christmas cards and tags to fine art watercolor succulents and floral paintings. I paint my original succulents on watercolor paper mounted on a birch board so I can add many layers of watercolor for depth and vibrancy. I also offer a collection of hand-drawn plants and flowers to which I add natural ink extracted from vegetables, fruits and other natural materials. For example, I boil beets, eggplants, and avocado pits to create a dye, then add it to the circle in my drawings. In case you are wondering, I still make Christmas tags, but now I have them printed. I also offer professionally printed greetings cards and high-quality reproductions of my original artwork.Read their story
