About Nomadic Affairs

During my trip to India in 2009, I breathed my first life into the long-standing idea of opening a shop with the colorful splendor of foreign cultures. Arrived for a social “Women Empowerment” project and full of zest for action, the adventurous journey led through the vastness of India. The rush of colors was fascinating, as was the simple life. The friendliness, foreign smells and tastes beguiled the senses. After careful consideration, the decision was made to realize the long-standing dream and to bring home a touch of this fascinating diversity. Living and working in India isn't always easy. But working together with local people opens doors to another world and provides deep insights into the culture. In the last 12 years, the network has grown, new places have been added and many new faces have been added to the shop. Close friendships developed, accompanied by countless liters of chai and laughter. Many of our products tell stories of masala and encounters in distant countries. Since 2009, I spend several months of the year with my tailors and retailers to plan designs together, select fabrics and ensure fair trade. In this way, your new favorite parts can be created in peace and without driven haste. Cultural exchange and cordial cooperation are paramount and are the guiding principles of our nomadic affairs.
