Welcome to Meltdown Studio! We're passionate about creating beautiful and useful objects that bring pleasure and joy. Our inspiration comes from vintage art, astrology, queer history, fine art, and playful use of colour. We believe in slowing down, cherishing well-made objects, and supporting real artists, not AI. Meltdown Studio is run in Naarm (Melbourne), Australia, by Angeleen and Victoria (partners in life and business), with very little help from their spoiled bonded pair of cats, Mickey and Binx. Our Values ❌ No More Useless Glass Jars You only own so many trinkets that can be housed in a used candle jar. At some point, these go into the bin, and whilst glass can be recycled, we found it important to provide a candle product that was reusable. 🖼️ Make Everyday Objects Beautiful So much today it feels as though there is a decision between function and form. We felt it was important that anything we made was an intersection of both, to be cherished and kept long term, avoiding throw-away culture. 🔥 Taking Care of Your Things is Sexy By not pouring our wax directly into glass jars, which would subsequently hit the bin. Cleaning your candle holder will take time and effort to keep it looking beautiful and ready for its next candle. 💰 Pay Artists We have no interest or plans to use AI in the creation of the bespoke artwork on our products.Read their story
