I paint the memories people didn't know they had. I grew up near Lake Como and moved to the States about twenty years ago, and my work still lives in both places. Warm Mediterranean tables, oysters and wine and checkered cloth, next to quiet California scenes, the pine roads and corner stores and coastline most people drive past without looking twice. Different views, but the same idea: there's more in an ordinary moment than we usually stop to see. I paint them to remind people to enjoy those moments. I'm self-taught, about ten years into painting, and every print begins as an original piece. People tend to buy the ones that feel like a place they love or a slower life they're reaching for.Read their story
