About Big Black Wic

The inspiration for creating Big Black Wic came after the founder, Elijah Li, went on a date with his husband to a candle making class. There was such much joy experienced creating those candles with his husband that he decided to start a candle line. The scents and names of Big Black Wic candles were inspired by dating experience both he and his friends have had. Each scent is developed and hand-made in the boogie Down Bronx using natural blended coconut wax and fragrance oils. The candles are hand-poured in reusable, jars with a black minimal design which allows the candles to sit in any type of setting. Big Black Wic donates 15% of sales to the SOULE Foundation, which supports the educational advancement of LGBTQ Youth of Color.Read their story
