About Jardin des Monts

The Garden had almost disappeared when we fell in love with this old alpine pasture that overlooks the green valley of Pays-d'Enhaut in the Swiss Pre-Alps. The cottage, abandoned, had given way to nature, which had regained all its rights there. However, we still distinguished, among the wild grasses, very numerous cultivation terraces supported by old dry stone walls. Several generations of peasants had brought this magical place to life by growing cereals and vegetables. Attached to this region and passionate about nature, it didn't take more for us to imagine reviving this alpine pasture by offering it a second life full of scents and colors and creating the Jardin des Monts.Read their story
