About Modern Cross

In 2020, my husband and I were walking through a season of deep uncertainty and difficulty. The future—both ours and the world’s—felt fragile and hopeless. At times, all we could do was cry and pray. One night, as we were putting our son to bed, he suddenly exclaimed, “Mommy! Daddy! There is a cross!” He was pointing at the wall. At first, we saw nothing, but he kept insisting. Upon closer look, we realized the shadow of his rocking horse was cast in the exact shape of a cross because of the way the toy was angled. In that moment, we felt God was revealing His presence to us through our son’s eyes—right there, in the midst of the quiet darkness. Modern Cross was created to remember that night. Since then, we have been crafting minimalist forms to showcase bold faith. Read their story
