About Due To Joy

Initially, this all started with as a blog in 2017 to encourage others as they walk through the grief and sorrow of pregnancy and infant loss. We lost a baby to miscarriage in 2016 and blogging and crafting became a therapeutic outlet. Fast forward a couple of years later and we got pregnant with our “rainbow baby”, a term used to describe a baby born after loss. From the start, making macrame rainbows brought joy to me as a fun little project to decorate my newborn’s nursery. Soon after, I started making rainbows for friends and family and kept going as requests kept coming in. On June 8th of 2020, what would have been our first baby’s due date years earlier, I launched the shop, Due To Joy Rainbow Co. Since then, my heart has grown to meet the needs of those who experience baby loss. Expanding on the idea of meeting the needs of those who have experienced loss, we created new products like rainbow carvings, care packages, and various macrame gifts. Each care package is a meaningful opportunity to offer hope and encouragement while meeting a tangible need such as self-care as well as some much-needed soul-care.
