Modern Roots Candle Co. is a faith-based candle company dedicated to creating a peaceful, Christ-centered home through the power of scent. Our mission is to provide clean burning candles and inspire prayer and reflections with our Scripture line. I'm Nissa - first and foremost, a mother, wife, and child of God, and also the owner and candle maker behind Modern Roots Candle Co. In 2022, I felt a calling to create a business that glorifies God, shares His word, and encourages others to express their faith in Jesus. Inspired by my love for candles and a desire to merge my faith with something meaningful, I spent a year testing,refining, and building the brand. In 2023, Modern Roots Candle Co. was officially born, guided by the wisdom fo Colossians 2:6-7 - "to stay rooted in your faith". But I didn't want to create just any candle, I was committed to crafting products made with better ingredients and affordable. After extensive research, I developed a collection on clean-burning candles, free of paraffin and phthalates, made with 100% natural soy wax, lead-free cotton braided wicks, and premium fragrances infused with essential oils. Designed with a modern and minimialist aesthetic, each candle complements any home decor while filling spaces with faith, warmth, and light. It has been a project of love and care!
