About Nifty Woodworks, LLC

Jeremy has been working with wood since he was knee high to a grasshopper and Rachel also spent her childhood helping in both her father's and grandfather's woodshops. Together, they came together to create and launch Nifty Woodworks, the melding of decades of combined experience and love for creating gifts and home decor, starting by creating home furnishings, chairs, tables, etc. In 2017, Jeremy and Rachel built their own Alaskan sawmill and Jeremy began milling as a professional sawyer. He's had the pleasure of such projects as milling a tree that was felled out of John Wayne's childhood home in Brooklyn, Iowa; to helping clear and mill trees that fell during the 2019 Iowa derecho. In the spring of 2021, they grew our business by adding a laser and the retail side of our business really took off. Nowadays, they are both in the shop working on projects. Rachel handles the creative side, working with our clients to ensure all products look perfect for each client's needs while Jeremy is the sawyer and resident woodworker. Together, they work with their children and their shop dog, Sadie. They pour their heart and soul into everything they do, and they love to see happy clients!Read their story
