About Nuthatch Studio

Nuthatch Studio is a small, woman-owned business based in North Carolina, founded by designer and illustrator Chrissie Van Hoever. I started Nuthatch Studio with a simple idea: to create art that both delights and cares for our planet. Since then, I’ve been steadily growing my collection of products that prioritize beautiful design, craftsmanship, social responsibility, and sustainability. About the Art My products feature my original artwork, which is largely inspired by my love for screen printing, woodblock printing, and the Arts and Crafts movement, all infused with my own contemporary twist. I love creating whimsical, nature-inspired art using cheerful color palettes, vibrant botanicals, playful animals, and captivating patterns. Responsibility & 1% for the Planet As a business owner and human on this planet, I feel a deep responsibility to cause as little harm to our planet and all people as possible. We use all recycled, organic, and responsibly sourced materials where possible, and everything is packaged in recyclable and/or compostable packaging. In 2025, Nuthatch Studio joined 1% for the Planet. This means I am committed to donating at least 1% of my annual revenue to vetted environmental partners who are addressing the most pressing issues facing our planet. All together for our planet.
