About Altruist

ALTRUIST was created by Dr. Andrew Birnie and David Westerbeek van Eerten; two friends who met in Durban, South Africa. They quickly became great friends who enjoyed sitting in the morning sun on their surfboards in the Indian Ocean. Years later, they decided to combine their expertise and lauch ALTRUIST - which had a clear vision: to decrease the incidence of UV induced skin cancer, through the increased use of quality sunscreen and better education.
