For Chef Lorious, jam making is a time honored Southern tradition. A cherished ritual protected and transported in her family’s move westward by her father from Alabama. As a California native, her creative juices naturally wanted to explore bringing together the flavors and concepts of her west coast playground with her southern Alabama roots. Just imagine infused pairings…the sweet nectar of mouth-watering fruit jams with wine! The best of both worlds “Cali-bama” style was born! What started as a creative twist on a family spread for “a gourmet” grilled cheese evolved into something spectacular during a cooking demo at Williams-Sonoma. As she layered this unique “one of a kind” wine-infused jam into sandwiches, the crowd’s curiosity turned into delight.
