We started making lactation cookies in 2011. At that time it served as supplemental income for my family as I was a stay at home mother of four kids 5 and under. It started with a traditional chocolate chip cookie & we slowly added new flavors as the recipe was altered and improved. Fast forward to 2017… We open a brick & mortar and it was THRIVING. Our location wasn’t the best but that didn’t matter because our online sales were on FIRE! We were running 15-20 orders to the post office almost daily. Some days I miss the chaos, most days I’m glad we moved out & found our own happiness in our new space with the addition of two more babies. We now have more than 25 flavors of breastmilk boosting cookies as well as options that don't contain gluten and are vegan friendly, so we have decided to rebrand. CookieZ is an all inclusive brand that supports all mothers on their breastfeeding journeys regardless of what it may look like. We’ve helped mamas who are “just enoughers” feed their babies beyond a year. We’ve helped mamas who exclusively pumped for their babies, surrogate babies etc. Some wet nurses (myself included), women who have induced lactation for babies they’ve adopted and even mamas who have tube fed babies and toddlers. This business is every single piece of me as if I have grown it from my own womb. Mothers having a safe space to go and get help and advice was the real profit from this journey and I am so ready to get back to serving and supporting women. Read their story
