I’m an Istanbul based Jeweler. I design and hand-fabricate all the jewelry in my studio in the heart of Istanbul. My journey of metalsmithing started in Grand Bazaar. I learnt traditional goldsmith techniques and materials from the masters. During my practicing I had the opportunity to transform all this knowledge into a contemporary style. As a maker, I love each process of fabricating, from the idea to processing the material to its final shape. The most exciting moments are the ones spent on the bench till seeing the piece done. Jewelry is a non-verbal way of statement to its wearer. It’s an exciting thing for a maker to know that the next owner of the piece will feel good and integrated with it. While spending time on the bench i sometimes emphasize the fun side of my inspirations, and the other times aesthetics could take over.
