It started with a New Year Resolution! - to do a drawing a day, every day, for a year. I first did this in 2008, and in 2013 I did it again, and haven’t stopped since. The result of this is a heaving shelf of sketchbooks, the pages of which throw me right back to where I was when I drew that line. The sketchbooks are accidental diaries - remembering, celebrating and recounting the subtleties and intricacies of what took place in that moment and at that time. My previous career was that of a Forest School leader. I have always had a passion for nature and how the seasons steadfastly set a pace that we have to adhere to. They keep us grounded and remind us that there are things we can’t rush - we have to wait for the blossom, just as we have to patiently wait for snow. The interest in nature hasn’t waned, just evolved into appreciating it with pen and watercolour - documenting the changing seasons through seasonal studies and preserving that moment through an illustration. Those illustrations now make their way onto cards and products which I sell here on my website and in shops. Read their story
