About Himalayan Hum

Growing up in Thamel, Kathmandu, I was surrounded by the soft, sacred sounds of singing bowls, temple bells, and morning chants echoing through the streets. Those sounds were more than background noise—they carried a sense of peace, presence, and spiritual connection that has stayed with me my entire life. In Nepal, Tibetan singing bowls are not just objects; they are traditional tools used for meditation, healing, and reflection, carefully hand-hammered by skilled artisans using techniques passed down through generations. Inspired by this heritage, I created Himalayan Hum, a small Nepal-based brand that shares the spirit and sound of the Himalayas with people around the world. Each bowl we offer is handcrafted, unique in tone and character, and made with intention. The word “Hum” reflects both the deep vibration of the bowls and the sacred mantra Om Mani Padme Hum, symbolizing transformation, compassion, and inner stillness.
