About Lalauri

I have a degree in Fine Arts from the Miguel Hernández University of Altea and trained in interior design at the Massana School in Barcelona. Although I started in the world of painting, over time I discovered that illustration was my true calling. Since then, I have exhibited my work in various shows, both solo and collective, and I have also had the opportunity to curate an exhibition with more than 50 artists. In 2018, I published "Cats in the Head" (Lunwerg), an illustrated book where memories and ideas intertwine between words and drawings. In 2022, "Story of a Cat" (Lumen) arrived, a very special project for me, translated into eight languages and full of curiosities for those who love these felines as much as I do. I collaborate with publishers such as Lumen, Lunwerg, Anagrama, Libros del Asteroide, and Expediciones Polares, creating covers and illustrations. I have also worked on collective projects with Penguin Random House, Savana Books, and Valparaíso Ediciones. Recently, I had the honor of illustrating "Jane Eyre" by Charlotte Brontë for Alfaguara. My style is delicate and romantic, with fine black and white lines that capture the essence of simplicity: petals, leaves, feathers, and other natural elements. I love combining the elegance of the past with a contemporary touch, always seeking to convey beauty and emotion in each illustration.Read their story
