I started PickMeUp in 2020 with one simple belief — every day is a beautiful day for something. Back then, there wasn’t a business plan or some big vision. I just wanted to make something simple that made people, including me, feel a little better. It started small, in an apartment in East Lansing, MI, and grew from there. We're about candles and other good smelling things that make your space feel a little lighter and your day a little better. Made to help you take a second, breathe, and be more present. A lot of what inspires me comes from home here in Michigan and from time spent in Hawaii - two places that remind me to slow down, look around, and appreciate the little stuff - big or small. Also, mental health awareness matters - it’s the reason I started this in the first place. PickMeUp has always been about creating things that help you feel okay again, even on the hard days. That’s why we give back and raise funds for FundRecovery.org, a nonprofit helping people get access to the mental health and recovery care they need. We take our time with each candle. No rush, no shortcuts. Made with all-natural, 100% soy wax, non-toxic fragrances, essential oils and poured by hand, start to finish. No overpromises. No magic formulas.
