Heavenly Scents LLC is a family owned business started in January 2000 by Ginger Anderson, a stay at home Mom of 4. She had a vision to create a strong smelling, affordable candle from home. The business boomed within the First year and quickly outgrew her apartment workspace. Her parents, Monty and Dottie Longmuir, saw the quality, demand, and potential of this small business. Monty built a candle shop in their basement to help meet the increasing demand and Dottie began learning all the ins and outs of the candle making business. In 2004 Ginger's family moved out of state. Monty and Dottie took ownership and worked the candle business bringing in new products, and expanding into the wholesale market. Ginger moved back home in 2014 and began working with them once again. From 2010 to 2021 Dottie fought five rounds of cancer. During that time they continued to work and serve their many loyal customers. Dottie lost her battle to cancer on April 16, 2021. She is deeply missed by all who knew her. But her memory lives on in all of us and the products that she helped create. Ginger is disabled with a debilitating, rare eye disease Retinitis Pigmentosa. This diagnosis came in 1985 at the age of 14. Ginger is now legally blind but she makes all the candle/wax products and Monty makes the car scent. Together, father and daughter run the business. Their vision has not changed, serving their customers with the best quality products at affordable prices.
