We are a London based designer and are especially showcasing The Arewa Heritage Collection. This is in collaboration with an African textiles maker (Arewa Textiles) that was originally established in 1963. It is a lifestyle collection that features items from each of Arewa’s pivotal print technologies whilst capturing the essence of daily African life in print and product. What makes Arewa’s prints so successful is its authenticity coupled with a genuine desire to produce high quality fabrics that consumers love and trust. As such we are together taking a quick breath to explore over 50 years of designs representing an evolution of Arewa’s heritage, and thinking about what comes next. We have especially designed this range as a reinterpretation of African traditional styles in contemporary lifestyle as put best by Arewa's CEO " ...this is not only about capturing everyday scenes in Africa, that is the inspiration behind our prints, but also a reflection of everyday scenes in modern Africa, contemporary products and moving on to positive reflection of the future that is integrating Africa with the rest of the world...” We hope that you love and are excited by it as we are :)Read their story
