About ASH POSY

ASH POSY is an Ottawa based organic skincare company formulating exceptional products. The brand was born from the idea that skincare can be humble and high end. Uncomplicated and concentrated products are our pièce de résistance and our knowledge of plants, herbs and oils shines through every bottle. We source ingredients locally whenever possible, and work with farmers who grow plants that are native to our region. The future of the environment is extremely important to us, so in addition to sustainable ingredients, we use biodegradable or recyclable packaging, using minimal plastic. Before becoming a skincare formulator, ASH POSY founder Andrea worked as a hairstylist and studied under the Aveda Collega Institute in Toronto in the early 2000's. Aveda was known for being one of the first and most prestigious organic and holistic skin and hair care institutes worldwide. The influence of herbal legend Horst Rechelbacher and his curriculum laid the foundation for Andrea's passion for plant power in personal care products. The advantage of working in a full Aveda concept salon and spa (Parlour Spatzio) has been evident in the quality of products that come out of our lab at Ash Posy. There is no education like years of hands on experience. Andrea has completed the organic skincare formulation course based out of the UK and currently studies advanced organic formulation, herbal infusion and the organic structure of lipids.Read their story
