About Flower Child Ceramics

I'm Yemi and I've been working with clay for the past 20 years. Mostly creating things for my home as well as gifts for family and friends but, at the suggestion of many, I decided to join Faire to share my art with others. My style is whimsical and features my love and appreciation for nature. I love good quality work that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional. I create items that I feel can help people lead a peaceful life with an emphasis on being mindful and present in nature. When I'm not engaged in creating art, I spend my days helping children navigate the world of ideas and artistic materials as an Atelierista for a wonderful Reggio-inspired forest school. I love my job because it inspires me everyday. I feel lucky. I hope my work can remind others of the beauty and simplicity found in nature.Read their story
