The name Marbil comes from the union of the names of the two current partners and spouses, Marinha and Abílio, my parents. Marbil is a registered trademark of the company Abílio Salgado Mendes, Lda. This company, despite having only been incorporated in 2015, has been active since 1994, when the founding partner Abílio Mendes was dedicated to the storage and retail of home textile and sports products. With the success of the business, he decided to expand and start producing the articles that until then he only marketed, in 1997. With the evolution of the business and after having relocated the production processes to his own warehouse in the parish of Tabuadelo, Guimarães in 2002, he decided to focus on the home textile market, continuing the production of pajamas and dresses but now with his own brand “Marbil”.Read their story
