YESAET is Style × Positive Impact. Founded in 2020 by designer Hiywet “Mimi” Girma, YESAET takes its name from the Amharic phrase for “a woman’s work”—a tribute to Mimi's Heritage. Based in Brooklyn, NY, YESAET fuses Pan-African textile artistry with Contemporary design, working with women-led cooperatives in Ethiopia, Ghana, and Burkina Faso, several of which are in rural communities.
