About Woodcat Coffee

Woodcat Coffee is a cozy neighborhood coffee shop & roaster located in Echo Park, Los Angeles. Woodcat was founded in 2014 by veteran coffee couple and hyper-locals, Saadat & Janine Awan who built everything with little money, lots of heart and their two own hands. In everyone's favorite year of 2020, Woodcat began roasting our own coffee and grew our family to include a second shop in Silver Lake, Dinosaur Coffee. We also picked up a few valued wholesale accounts, launched our beans online and took our first origin trip to meet our coffee producers. We have since gone on life-affirming origin trips in Colombia, Guatemala and Honduras to connect with coffee growers. Community has always been at the heart of what we do and why we do it. The hope is that our coffee and our cafés provide welcoming spaces that bring people together through the daily ritual and mutual appreciation of good coffee.
