About Jillian Van Sice

The Trap-et Story From Frustration to Function, From Family to a Movement Hi, I’m Jillian. Now semi-retired, I decided to babysit. While watching my first baby, just learning to eat solid food, I was shocked how quickly a simple mealtime turned into a full-blown mess. His clothes, the tray, the highchair seat, and the floor were all fair game. Venting to my sister, “I need to make a tarp!” She laughed and said, “Why not?” And that’s all I needed. With a little encouragement and a lot of creativity, I designed my first prototype—and to my surprise, it worked great. Friends asking for one, and before I knew it, I was sewing more Trap-ets than I could count. The feedback was overwhelming—and always the same: “Where was this when my kids were little?” Then it clicked. Over the last six years, I’ve poured my heart into developing the Trap-et. Cutting clean-up time by more than 75% guaranteed. In less than a minute, you’ve got a clean baby, highchair, and floor. My mission doesn’t stop there. With every Trap-et sold, I will support underprivileged children by providing them with clothing and books—creating self-worth, fostering learning, and building confidence. Creating an app that connects donors with kids in need allows them to form lasting relationships. From one messy meal to a movement for change, the Trap-et is more than a product. It’s proof that a simple idea—born from love, frustration, and family—can make a real difference. Less mess. More moments. A better world.
