For many generations, the family-run business has been firmly rooted in the tranquil wine village of Falkenstein in Lower Austria's Weinviertel. What began around 300 years ago with a few vines has now grown to around 35 hectares of vineyards. This is almost exclusively done by the winemaker himself: With a drive for perfection, quality awareness and a dose of understatement, Johannes Stadler Jr. is one of those ambitious winegrowers for whom traditional crafts are a matter close to their hearts. The vineyards are cultivated with particular care - because the high quality of the berries can only be guaranteed through regular leaf work and grape thinning. The special microclimate and the predominantly calcareous soil structure in Falkenstein finally give the wines their typical regional flavor. Numerous wine awards confirm that Johannes more than lives up to his standards. Because it not only stands for typical varietal wines with a clean finish. But for wines with character.
