About Clutch Candle Company

Helen was born and raised in Aurora, Illinois. She grew up with a large variety of pets including reptiles, dogs, and cats and she has always loved the look and smell of candles. However, when doing research she found that so many candle companies use toxic, paraffin wax in their candles. This wax releases more toxic chemicals while burning compared to other waxes, and most companies use at least a small amount of paraffin in their candles. So Helen sought out to create a candle company that aspires to be as clean burning and non toxic as possible for the safety of both us and our beloved pets, as well as an affordable option for pet safe candles. The company is named after her own pet cat that she rescued off of the streets and he loves to be the center of attention and is featured in many of our photos. We use only the cleanest burning soy coconut wax blend to ensure clean, beautiful candles. All of our candles are handmade in small batches to ensure consistency and the highest quality candle we can possibly produce.Read their story
