Thick Athletics Apparel is proudly a black owned business, lead and operated by founder, Lita Lewis. Lewis admittedly never intended to start an apparel business back in 2013, it came about by the demand from clients she trained that were motivated by fun, quirky phrases she would use to inspire them. Terms such as, “thick thighs save lives, “love thigh self”, “f*** a thigh gap!”, all of which were to empower women through body acceptance & empowerment. Responding to the demand Lewis put these phrases on t-shirts and tanks and a movement was born. Thick Athletics Apparel was never about “being thick” in frame or stature but instead, being thick in attitude, mindset and self love. Lewis has since evolved the brand to include pieces that bring out the best in women, making them feel strong, sexy and confident but most of all, leave women feeling empowered to be themselves!
