About Oak Lounge Games

We’re on a mission to invite unrelated people together to genuinely connect and build community through unique games. Our heart is to give independent developers, designers, and artists the opportunity to bring their games to life and provide a livelihood doing what they love. Our story begins as many do, we were just a couple of geeks looking to make a difference. Tabletop games give people the opportunity to genuinely connect with others. There’s nothing like sitting across a table rolling dice, solving puzzles, and sharing laughs. Tabletop games are a great equalizer that can bring unrelated people together for a wonderful, shared experience. With those values in mind, we had a really cool idea for a fantasy, rogue-like game which we now lovingly refer to as Hero’s Journey. However, we knew that we had to do something very different. The game had to be completely American-made, from the all-original artwork to the finished product in our customers’ hands. There is a multitude of reasons why we think it is so important for Americans to buy American-made products. The bottom line for us is that we want to play a small part in reducing how common, and immediate, foreign outsourcing is to American business practices. In doing so, we genuinely promote American small businesses and support up-and-coming creative professionals that are at a significant disadvantage competing against their much cheaper foreign, online counterparts.
