About Mountain Dog

Mountain Dog was born from a love of family, the outdoors, and canine health. Founder Kevin Thompson, a U.S. Army veteran, built the company with his wife, Hannah, and their children while recovering from a severe battle with COVID that left him hospitalized for 32 days, including eight days on a ventilator. During his recovery, Kevin turned his focus to dog nutrition. With a background in farming and ranching, he had always cared for animals. After reading dog treat labels filled with fillers and artificial ingredients, he knew he could create something better. Consulting with veterinarians and canine nutrition experts, he developed a single-ingredient, wild-caught salmon treat rich in Omega-3s and protein to support healthy skin, joints, and digestion.
