About Alcott Candles

Carsen Russell, founder of Alcott Candles, has been making candles since 2017 and has been perfecting the mix CD since 2009. In 2024, she began to sell soy wax candles inspired by songs that are hand poured in small batches in Austin, Texas. When you purchase an Alcott candle you are supporting a queer, disabled, woman owned business on a mission to create candles that smell good, look good, and do good. SMELL GOOD Our clean burning candles are made with 100% soy wax and are free of phthalates, carcinogens, mutagens, and toxins, which make them better for you, your family, and the environment. LOOK GOOD Alcott candles are designed with the belief that adults want to partake in their musical interests — without having to betray their aesthetic. Our candles are made to look good in any home while adding a touch of grown-up luxury. DO GOOD We think it’s not enough to create clean burning candles, use renewable soy wax, and ensure that every part of our packaging can be recycled or renewed. 5% of profits from every candle sale go to a nonprofit that supports our ideals of a greener, better future.Read their story
