The origin LIVMOOR was founded in 2014 by Lilian van Veen, an experienced visual artist with her own vision. Livmoor's philosophy is that photography is more than just a picture on the wall. Of course, art can be like an image on the wall, but can also become part of your living or working environment in a different way. It creates an atmosphere, evokes emotion or, on the contrary, exudes peace. About Lilian van Veen When I first heard the poem Daffodils by Williams Wordsworth, something happened. I was about twelve years old. My father always took me out into nature, and I could enjoy myself there for hours, but it was this poem that made me realize for the first time how lucky nature can bring. Nature is fascinating. The coloured relief on a birch bark, the hexagonal cells in a honeycomb, the wind that makes the lilies dance. We owe our lives to nature. It is the basis of science. It offers us so many solutions. I think I inherited my fascination with nature as well as with science from my father. For a while, he worked at a laboratory in Leiden. There was a microscope in his room and you always found laboratory pipettes somewhere. There were stones, ores and quartz crystals everywhere. There was a stone in a half-open book.
