About Dark Moon Parlour

Dark Moon Parlour is owned and operated by Sonia Litynskyj. While the name suits the brick and mortar opened in 2023 in Downtown Romeo, MI, she has been hand dipping beeswax candles under Dark Room Oracle since 2019 eventually adding scented candles, fixed candles, cunning balms, ritual oils, teas and ritual smokes. Everything is crafted from a folk magical and art practice that pulls from Sonia's Ukrainian ancestry, ancestral reverence and her relationship to the land she resides on and the local spirits collaborated with. Beeswax is always purchased from local Michigan farms, herbs are wildcrafted, or sourced from local herbalists and reputable sources. Each product is ritually crafted through the lens of diasporic folk magic and rooted in animism, under auspicious lunar or celestial relevance and in aid with spirits and guided or inspired ancestrally and deeply creative. Naming a product has just as much importance to the crafting of it, so words, charms or names are chosen specifically based on the intention, timing and collaborators. Read their story
