From classroom to craft room, my journey took an unexpected turn! After eight years as a special education teacher (including a Master's degree and National Board Certification!), I discovered a passion for creating custom home decor. While juggling motherhood and teaching in 2012, I opened an Etsy shop that quickly soared into the top 1% of Etsy stores. By 2016, with two sons, I took the leap to become a full-time mom and entrepreneur. My husband joined me in 2018, leaving his home-building business to create our dream work-from-home team. The teacher in me still yearned to connect with others. Also in 2018, I began hosting DIY workshops in our garage. The demand to share these projects beyond my local circle led to the birth of Project Home DIY in 2019. Now, I'm thrilled to share my creativity with you through Project Home DIY. From small wood signs to grand farmhouse tables, we've helped nearly 97,000 people express their unique style through our easy DIY kits, always staying on top of the latest trends. And to make your DIY experience even easier and faster, we launched a luxury towel line in 2025, adding that perfect pop of color to your home.
