My name is Lydia Oppong, I went to the Art Institute of New York City, there I got my degree in fashion design/Pattern Making, I love making patterns. After that I went to worked for one of the famous fabric stores in New York City MOOD Fabrics, working there made me fall in love with prints. After that I worked at Macy's as a Merchandiser and I loved it, worked there for a long time. I don't have a grandmother who taught me how to sew, I went to school for that. Fast forward to now married to my best friend no he is not my high school sweet heart, we have 4 beautiful kids, 3boys and a girl, we use to leave in New Jersey worked in New York at a Hotel; but now we leave in Atlanta/Georgia. I started making bags in 2015 as gifts, then people I didn't know started asking me to make them some. I started making all kinds of bags but the ones I enjoy making are small zipper pouch. So I decided to share it with the world, so here I am on Etsy. All I am saying is I love my work, I put my heart and soul in every pouch I make, I take my time to make each one. You can call me a creative person, a maker or an artist, whatever you want to call me is fine by me. The truth is you might find mistakes here and there is okay, I am not perfect; that's what makes handmade unique and I want to be realistic as possible and this is about me.
