About houseplay

Houseplay is a creative collaboration between Lisa Marasinghe and Suzy Taggart. It is Houseplay's mission to bring you playful products that serve a purpose. Lisa and Suzy became fast friends when they met in the seventh grade. They often – and with grave sincerity – played the classic fortune-telling game of MASH. The two girls would imagine a future where they worked together – always considering dream careers alongside their dream husbands and cars. College, and the years following, took Lisa and Suzy in different directions, but the two women both found themselves with careers in the retail industry. Suzy opened a home goods shop in their hometown of Northfield, Minnesota, while Lisa worked with manufacturers to produce products for some of our nation's top gift retailers. Over the past twenty-plus years, Lisa and Suzy have gained valuable insights about the world of retail from all angles. The duo are thrilled to finally be living out their dream of working together, creating playful and practical products for the home. Lisa and Suzy hope to inspire you to gather with the ones you love, entertain with abandon, and to remember that play isn't just for kids.
