She specializes in creating Contemporary Tallit (prayer shawl) and other Judaica art designs that connect your roots to the present time. She was born and raised in Israel to a traditional Yemenite family and has lived in Canada and the United States. "My journey started over 30 years ago when I founded Sharona Silk Creations, making hand-painted Tallitot and other artifacts on silk. Now that my children grew up and flew from the nest I rededicate my time and creativity to my love of making Judaica. "I want to create a beautiful and meaningful Tallitot that will connect you, the wearer, with your roots, history and strengthen your feeling of connection to us as One people. My tallitot depict different biblical passages, names, Hebrew letters using Jewish Gematria and my personal interpretations. My desire for visual beauty, intellectual rigor, and spiritual depth is based on my passion for Judaism. PARDES Designs depicts the essence of my work intentionally combining vibrant colors with Jewish symbolism. In Hebrew PARDES (PaRDeS) means orchard, a garden that brings beauty and fruitfulness. On a deeper level, it is an acronym for the four levels of Torah interpretation.
