About ArtByKatian
Kansas City artist Katie Borg was born in China and came to the US in 1998, when she was adopted just after her first birthday. She began drawing every day at age four and began formal art instruction not long after. Growing up in Chicago, her work won a number of local and regional awards and was sold at art fairs, benefit auctions and a gift gallery. She started Chinese brush painting with a local teacher and began selling her paintings and notecards not long after. After her graduation from Cornell University in 2020, she became a graphic designer. She now enjoys her life in River Market with her two cats, Ash and Oak.
