About totchop

Hi there! I’m Matt, a husband, engineer, and dad to four awesome kids. Like most parents, I just want to keep my kids safe, especially when it comes to meals. Totchop started at our kitchen table during those busy early years of high chairs, toddler snacks, and cut-up grapes. Out of nowhere, we had a choking scare with my 16 month old daughter. One minute we were laughing over dinner, and the next we were on the phone with 911, performing the Heimlich, and doing anything we could to have her regain responsiveness. Thankfully, she ended up okay after vomiting, but I wasn't the same afterwards. As both a parent and an engineer, I started thinking: there has to be a better way. I wanted a tool that made meal prep easier, helped reduce choking risks, and was built to use every day. So, I teamed up with a few friends on an idea for rocker knife set innovation, and that’s how Totchop was born. Fast forward to today, and we use the our totchops everyday. Our products are universally designed, and can be used with one-hand. With two sharpness options available, the sets are incredibly adaptive for people with a wide range of disabilities. or dexterity challenges.
