About Clarity

My name is Jaye, and I'm the owner of Clarity. Clarity began when I kept looking for a dress I couldn't find. A 100% cotton dress with pockets, made without the chemicals I'd learned to read labels for, beautiful enough to make me feel like myself again after emerging postpartum not feeling like myself. I wanted a gorgeous, feminine, modest dress I could trust to be non-toxic. I couldn't find one, so I started designing. Every Clarity piece is born on our little farm in rural Ohio, where I work through every pattern, silhouette, and detail by hand. From there, each dress is hand block printed and sewn in Jaipur, India. 100% cotton, untreated and unbleached. Natural dyes painted onto the fabric. Nothing hidden, nothing rushed. We make handmade cotton dresses for women and the girls they love, including matching mommy-and-me styles in sizes 2T through 6Y. They're non-toxic, slow fashion, heirloom quality. And yes, they all have pockets. A Clarity dress isn't called your new favorite dress for nothing. Clarity dresses are heirloom quality, they are feminine and flattering and made to be worn and enjoyed. Our dresses are the ones your daughter will find in your closet one day and ask to borrow.
